About Me
Linda Green: Champion for Survivors, Architect of Change
For over sixteen years, Linda Green has been a relentless force in the fight against domestic violence. As a dedicated advocate, mentor, and consultant, she has transformed shelters into true sanctuaries of healing, empowering survivors to rebuild their lives with dignity and strength.
Linda’s impact extends beyond shelter walls. She has pioneered life-changing programs such as Mentoring Through Shelter, Shelter to Stability, and SWAG (Survivors are Worthy, Awesome, and Gutsy)—initiatives that provide critical support to families in crisis while fostering collaboration among community shelters.
Recognizing the profound intersection of trauma and faith, Linda launched the first trauma-informed faith support group in Multnomah County, creating a safe space for survivors to find spiritual and emotional healing. During the pandemic, she refused to let isolation become another barrier, establishing An Evening of Hope, a virtual support group that became a beacon of resilience for survivors navigating uncertain times.
A lifelong learner, Linda continues to expand her expertise through ongoing education, ensuring that her advocacy remains informed, innovative, and impactful. When she’s not working to create safer, more supportive communities, she cherishes time with her grandchildren, traveling, crocheting, and enjoying movie nights with her husband.
Linda’s work is more than advocacy—it’s a mission. A mission to uplift, restore, and remind every survivor that they are worthy, they are strong, and they are never alone.
